Membership

Thank you for your interest in the club!

If you are interested in officially joining, please go here! If you are interested in trying out a class please continue reading!

 

After our trial period we offer one week trial period. This is an opportunity to get a feel for what being in the club is like. The classes during this period will focus on basic conditioning and skills. Come to as many classes as you want!


When are the classes?

  • Mon 9:00-10:30 Basic Training AR 3

  • Wed 8:00-10:00 Sparring AR 3

  • Thu 9:00-11:00 Competition AR 4

  • Sat 4:00-6:00 Poomsae AR 3

 

Where is AR3? Where is Dodge?

  • Classes are held in Aerobics Room 3 (AR3) and Aerobics Room 4 (AR4)  in the Dodge Fitness Center. Dodge Fitness Center is located next to Havemeyer down a set of stairs.

    • To access AR3, turn right after entering Dodge and head towards the track. Cross the track and go down the stairs to your right one flight down. 

    • To access AR4, also turn right after entering Dodge and head towards the track. Before crossing the track, turn right and follow along with the track. 


How Should I Prepare?

  • Wear comfortable athletic clothes! If you have done TKD before, you are also welcome to wear your old uniform and belt.  No sparring gear is needed on Monday. 

  • Please remember TKD is a barefoot sport, short toenails and clean feet are a must!

  • If your feet are prone to blistering, we do practice on wood (no mats!), so you are welcome to bring bandages/athletic tape just in case. 

  • Also don't forget to bring water and a smile! :)

 

Am I Eligible?

  • CUTKD is open to all Columbia University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates who have current Dodge Fitness Center memberships​​
